ARTRIX - Scene 3

In a New York gallery, two whistling men dressed in black step out of a basement carrying a crate. They set it down and take a cereal break. The box of cereal contains secret decoder glasses that intrigue one of the men. They finish their meal, open the crate, hang Last of Her Line, and step back to examine it.

Hans: So what do you see Kolby?

Kolby: The piece seems to be sending me a message. It seems to be telling me about a perverse sexuality hidden in the American suburban middle class.

Hans: Touché, although I don't see any of that. It looks mostly like purple inlaid squares to me. Maybe those secret decoder glasses that you are wearing reveal some different message.

Kolby: So true Hans, because when I take the glasses off the message disappears.

Hans: I never even thought about that section of America as perverted. It is quite shocking to think of such an austere outer shell containing so many issues. Maybe austerity exists to repress those issues. That crate came from Suburbia didn't it? I think it is time for a little leak to the newsmedia.

Kolby: I agree, but first we must smoke and drink while discussing our failed relationships.

Hans: Touché.
