Sunday Ride to Work
Work has been busy recently. Between a new project and an old project falling apart, I’ve had less time to get out and explore. The start of the rainy season hasn’t helped either. This weekend, I had to devote time to the fun, but always unclear process of “concepting.” Basically, this means coming up with ideas under a set of guidelines. These are the seeds that get watered, pooped on, and either grow into ads or die and wander the vast land of dead ideas.
To concentrate, I went to the office for a few hours on Saturday and Sunday. Here are a few photos from my Sunday ride:
Minor accident.
Woven bamboo fence.
Mobile plant vendor’s rickshaw.
His plants unloaded onto the sidewalk.
Sacks of small watermelons sold curbside.
Junk cart parked by wall.
Rusted door with mail slots.
Alley.
Blue lights.
Steamed bun stand and woman on phone.
Couple tending to green onions.
Two guys on a small bike picking a fight with another biker that almost bumped into them.
Construction worker above the subway.
The noisy bike lane along Zhaojiabang Rd.
Guess what food is inside this serious man’s container. Hint: think salty.
Here’s to the hope for next weekend being free from work.
