Final Post From Prague, Thank God
Simile Warning: Time is slowing down here like a drugged trombonist playing into the edge of the universe from atop a braking spaceship.
There are a few more days of shooting to help flame my growing head cold. And just a few more nights to rest my flabby frame on high end cotton sheets.
The face that watches over the doorway.
You’re doing it wrong.
Another wall makes for exciting photojournalism.
Boat over troubled water.
Load bearing vessels.
The quaint trail to the train bridge.
Westward rails.
The wooden walkway along the tracks.
These men carry on the proud Prague tradition of homeless fishing in the polluted river.
Train conductor’s mansion.
Abandoned Vysehrad Station.
I think I’ll sit this one out.
Municipal vineyard.
The Nusle Bridge towers over the old buildings in the valley below.
Exhibit of photos from the Fekal Party?
Beautiful doorway.
Walkways under a bridge.
Chipped wall.
Glorious 80s hotel near Congress Center.
Jacks hammering.
Beethoven rolls his eyes.
View from along the Nusle Bridge.
Another view.
The unseen structures behind the taller buildings.
Suck on this, Gursky.
The view master.
Hospital for vaginas.
The eagle.
A walkway at the hospital.
Halls of Mentho-lyptus.
The room.
Tools of the trade.
Pristine cabinetry.
Windows 95.
Lab.
Foley studio with different floors for making noise.
One of the highlights of the trip, and also the source of some of my best interior photos in Hotel Prague. This still functioning relic of the communist elite is a combination of luxury, dilapidation, and a Shining-like mood. Part of me wishes we stayed here instead.
Ominous hallway.
A sad plant.
A chair haunted by ghosts.
Movie time.
Vestibule.
Punch in.
A defunct bowling alley.
High ranking conference room.
Pool from the future.
A grand staircase.
After an overnight shoot on Friday, I can board a plane. I’m ready to be home. I think I left the stove on for six weeks.
Fin.
