Format Microsite
The microsite for CareerBuilder.com was split into two parts. First, the National Gruntledness Index (NGI). A source for the nation's career happiness, the NGI was calculated using real data provided by job posts/searches. The interface was like a more colorful, weather map version of Google Analytics. From the national view, a user dived into happiness at state and local levels. Sorting by industry on the sidebar displayed the gruntledness for specific industries.
Second, we measured the user's Personal Gruntledness Index (PGI) through a quick test of career happiness. From a large pool of questions, three questions were asked from three categories: money, career, lifestyle. The tough love tone matched of the rest of the campaign, and it was both humorous and revealing. We probed the deepest crevices of the user's working mind, using a variety of methods from webcam, mic, and more. Many of the questions of the test were made into rich media banners.
